And for those of you who don't know... they do that alot. In fact, they brag about it. Narconon, a Scientology Front Group that claims to successfully get people off drugs has been shown in the news many times for it's controversial and possibly harmful 'treatments'.
The article says that a Volunteer Scientology Minister in Tennant Creek was handing out pamphlets that say that their vitamin supplements can treat drug addiction and the withdrawal symptoms.
Apparantly doing this could be FATAL to those who are on dialysis and suffer from numerous other health problems.
As someone who knows what withdrawals are like (Calm Down OSA.... I experienced Withdrawals from Prescription Medication that I stopped cold turkey... WHICH NOBODY SHOULD EVER DO)... I know that the HELL that people endure during this time CAN NOT be cured with vitamins.
Several Healthcare Professionals and Institutions have backed up and supported this action. The Health Department issued a warning to the church saying it SHOULD NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
The Church of Scientology spokeswoman, Virginia Stewart, claims that the volunteer who was handing out the propaganda had made a mistake. She says that the pamphlet should never have been distributed in Tennant Creek.
"That was an error and it should never have happened, and that person got corrected and is collecting everything back."
...... I'm sure we all know what that means.
